DanB @ North Weald BoB Open Day

Post by LN Strike Eagle »

Not quite what I was expecting today - thought it would be more like the warbird events of the last couple of years, but it was like a village fete with a few aeroplanes thrown in. Not much to photograph, but had good fun with the camera again anyway....

Some nice close ups there. I thought exactly the same thing, it was more like a village fete compared to previous shows. I heard that this one was not organised by the Squadron this time, I think Kennet stepped in and did it. I don't know whether that is true or not. May explain the slightly more family pitched show.

I do like your Vampire shots old mate! Did I miss anything after I left?

Not really - we left shortly after the F1 had finished. Some JPs went up, a Spitfire passed through and the rest of it departed without much of note happening. Presume the Vampire did go up, but it hadn't by the time we left.

People said that about my "wonky" shots from Northolt in March. You'll all be taking 'em soon...!

Praise indeed!

Best set from the day by a long chalk (which, apparently, allows teachers to stand at the back of the class....... :tumbleweed: )
