Very nice stuff. That blue sky is a shock though, my part of Suffolk never got anything like that today!

Best shots I've seen from Lakenheath in quite some time. I see the USAF can manage to clear a bit of snow from the runways then

Excellent set as always, am dead jealous of these as i would've been there today had events/weather not intervened.

Also, doesn't the winter light help and the sharpness, wow! :worship:

+1. Smashing set of shots. Don;t often get the combination of nice light and 06 - when it all comes together, it's a great spot to be.

If Cottesmore haven't cleared the snow by next week, might have to divert to Lakenheath on Mon/Tues.

thanks everybody

in the past have have often been very critical regarding the met office, but today they were 100% correct in their TAF for EGUL, great light, with only scattered clouds, so big thanks to them, and my luck of being able to skive away from the office, plus the eagles playing game!

cheers

AMAZING!

Those are inspirational pics - well done!

Beautifully sharp, stunning light and well captured. Looks like the 48th put on a great show as well.

Why has 01-2002 got highlighted tailcode but a seemingly normal serial? I remember back in 1994 a number of LN eagles wore highlighted tailcode and serial for seemingly no reason. Looks great whatever the reason.

Thanks for posting - the topside of '178 gets my overall vote for top shot.

There's not many days when it all comes together like that. Easterly wind, good light, clear air and plenty of action. Well done for taking full advantage with some very sharp photos.

01-2002 was marked up with 494FS on the tail that's why it has the highlighted LN. It has something else written near the bottom of the tail now by the look of it.
