Duxford Spring Air Show, 22nd May

Post by Mossie »

Hi there,

Here are my efforts from Duxford's Sping Show to add to the many others!

Despite the wind causing havoc with the show's main theme, I thought it was a very enjoyable display and an good curtain raiser to Duxford's airshow year. The Meteor and TFC's P-40B & Hawk 75 were especially welcome and I'm happy to see the F-86A as much as possible before we inevitably lose it abroad.

As ever, sorry for the large number of images and C&C are welcome

Thanks

Geoff

Superb set of shots Geoff.
The Sabre topside in the sun with dark clouds has to be a contender for potw but they're all excellent.

Fantastic set of pictures

I usually go up the other end of the airfield but looking at some of the angles you got I think I need to try the eastern end.

Great!
Must say I like the sideview Sabre and the P-40 shots a little bit extra in a set where all are very good
Makes me want to go back to Duxford again and, like somebody else said, try the eastern and of the field.

Many thanks for the positive comments. I'm glad that you liked them.

I'm usually a Tank Bank fan, but have found that at the Spring Show the lower sun causes more problems from there & I get better results from the M11 end. Now I just need to decide whether to try the same spot for other shows as well.

The flying shots are mostly taken with a Canon EOS 1D MkIII & 300mm 2.8L + 1.4 Convertor, although some of the earlier ones in the show were taken with the same lenses on a Canon EOS 50D

If you're not too bored here are a few more shots.

Once again, thanks for the comments

Geoff

Beautiful photographs, very nice indeed!

Go on then, I am itching to know, in shot 5 (first section) how did you get that photo of the nose without your reflection in it?
