MAKS 2011

Post by Mark K »

Decided to venue over to Russia to MAKS to see first hand what the new Sukhoi T-50 (or the PAK-FA as it is also known as) can do. A whole host of other intresting displays at the show too. So here's a taste of what was on offer:

Haha, I was just thinking how weird it looks :P

Great set, Im very jealous as well. Are there special photo spots at MAKS or do you have to go off base to find some decent spots? As far as Ive been able to make out the crowd line faces the sun for most of the day, and you seem to have been on the opposite side of the base.

Great shots. Were these all taken opposite side of the crowd line (heard it's difficult to get decent light inside the show) ?

One Sukhoi at Fairford not enough for you then
Some cracking shots in nice sunshine, was watching on the live stream thinking photogs wouldn't want to be in the public area, looks like you certainly got on the right side of the display line.

Thanks for all the comments guys really do appreciate it. It was worth the money going over to see all those Russian types. A base visit would be the next thing that I would like to try and do.
