Post by RichPittman »

Hi all
Just returned from a few Days in Wittmund, Northern Germany.
Weather was poor generally but we did have some nice breaks
Thanks for the company Paul, how many frames was it?

Phwoar. Stunning set of images! Were these taken from outside the base? Wittmund is firmly on my 'to do' list for 2012.

Looks like a great week and whose counting the shots. Glad you had some sun which presumably reduced the haze. Phantoms and A-4s are both rather special.

Cheers, Ian

Very nice Rich! Actually, I think I might have talked to you and your mate on Thursday afternoon. I was the dutch guy you explained about the cornfield in the middle of the field to. Anyway, got some nice shots from the other end of the runway that same afternoon. Went to the dutch airshow at Leeuwarden today, so didn't have time to go through my set.

I would certainly do that Stu! I go there 1-2 times a year. It's a great place in my opinion. Very accessible with some good activity on regular days.

A fantastic set of images of one of the meanest and beefiest machines ever made.
The head on shot with the chute released, flypast with the smoke, climbout with the burner, Oh I can't decide, they're all superb.
