If it IS a model, that's a damned impressive one, mind.
My friend works in the Sahara looking for oil and gas. Recently, however, they came upon something completely different ... The plane lain for so many years no one bothered. The finder of the wreck told the RAF and were able to identify aircraft. We do not know why he was only at that particular place. It may puzzle some time find a solution.

We might approach the local Bedouin for an interview, but they'd probably turn us down for being so impertinent as to ask challenging questions...

Compared to the stuff the BBMF operate, the P-40 is a very insignificant type in RAF history. Won't happen. And besides, they're being "given" a Mosquito, aren't they?

People's Mosquito project asking us, the aviation world, to raise money to get a "suitable airframe".
They claim to already have one.

Claiming and actual proof are two different things unless there is hard evidence. Plus, if that airframe has been "given", where has it been till now?
Under RAF Coltishall, for 60+ years.

Let us know how you get on with that.![]()
If this is fake it is a very good one, right down to the smallest detail in the cockpit.
If it's real it's a significant find. Let's hope they can find it again!

You could always try offering him a few camels...chances are he'd probably still get the hump, but it might be worth a tug...
Apropos of nothing, he might be an Oasis fan, in which case some CDs will probably suffice.
Just don't ask him for a date!!!
