RNAS Yeovilton, QDJ Flypast Rehearsal

Post by gallers74 »

Had the good fortune to do some air to air stuff with the good folk at RNAS Yeovilton for the Queens Diamond Jubilee Flypast Rehearsal.
The Fleet Air Arms Diamond Nine formation will be made up of nine helicopters from RNAS Culdrose and Yeovilton. The Aircraft in the formation will be Sea Kings, Merlin’s and Lynx with the Historic Flights Swordfish leading.

Hope you enjoy these as much as I did taking them!

Awesome shots - trying to work out where the 'Fish shots was taken - over Sherborne perhaps?
I will share this thread elsewhere as well :)

Great photos. Such a shame that after all the effort it's been cancelled due to the glorious British summer weather!

fantastic photos. Maybe they could put the practice to good use and do the flypast over the airday at Yeovilton this year. Would be great to see it.
