SPTA is the Salisbury Plain Training Area

A confined area is usually a small clearing in woodland not much bigger than the helicopter hence confined where helicopter pilots learn various skills.

Thanks Cliff,

I am amazed that the public are allowed in!

What a shame that spotters and photographers think everyone browsing the forums knows everything there is to know about the aircraft and that there is no need to elaborate, list or define within posts.
