A big thanks to Phil and the team for another enjoyable nightshoot. Really enjoyed the Chinook 'Flying' visit. Heres a couple of quick edits....

Re: Northolt Nightshoot
I like the first shot - I tend to bin any shots with vehicles etc moving through the shot during slow exposure, but your shot really makes a feature of it.

First shot is superb, great colours and the light trails in the background set it apart from anyone else's that I've seen so far.

Thanks for the comments guys. Sdad i mean straightening and sharpening by 'edits'. Im really pleased with the first shot. I saw they were moving the hs125 so had guess when to start the shot. I used a 15sec exposure and luckily the bright yellow tug didnt go past whilst shooting keeping it mainly white. I had hoped the white would fill the background completely but i suppose the sky adds to the shot.

Another vote for the first shot!
Re: Northolt Nightshoot
Straightening - if that's what I think - 'nuff said!
Sharpening - I have seen it written that everything that goes through Photoshop is sharpened and I don't understand why. I use an old copy of Corel PhotoPaint and if I try to sharpen with that, I just get loads of noise introduced. Within what limits does it sharpen, please and why does it have to be done so often when we are already talking about expensive equipment which shouldn't need sharpening at all to my mind?

I love the first, needs to be a little bit lighter imo, to dark in the shadows. great set though.
