Some cracking shots there, I placed myself on the lower part of Beachy Head, and thought I had some good photos, until I got them on the computer and realised I'd not changed the ISO back to 100! It was on 1600!

Looking at those shots I think you must have been standing very close to me and pressing the shutter at the same moment.
Amen to your comments about Jonathan. Did anyone get any pictures of Miss D as she went past? Most of us seemed to have got bits of tail or nose!

These are great. Particularly like the first one of Miss D where she's pulling up.

Just a thought - could you push the levels adjustment a little further? I think some of them are lacking a bit of contrast, and by working with the levels sliders you might get punchier images. No matter - a great set anyhow.

Hi Anthony, I understand what you're saying about the levels, I tried to do that on some some shots but the effect was too "HDR" like and looked a bit false. The haziness was due to a bit of........haze really.

My originals looked like your posts. At first I thought it was due to the hazy conditions but a bit of 'adjustment' mainly to the contrast made them look better (to me at any rate!)

Fair enough. By HDR do you mean the colours became too intense and unrealistic? If you apply your levels (or curves) using Luminosity blend mode, you may find you can bump the contrast without affecting colours too much. Send me a PM if you want me to explain some more.

With regards to the lack of contrast in some of the images..

I hope you don't mind but I spent 5 secs in Lightroom on your pic. I've posted a screenshot so u can see what changes I made to get rid of the haze and increase the contrast.

I will happily remove it if you want, but I was just trying to show how easy it is to get rid of haze

No I don't mind Turbohampster, I'm not that precious about it, and I appreciate the effort you've gone to.
I'll give all of the tips a go tonight or tomorrow and probably re-post.
