ROK Navy:
PLA web site suggests they'll be ROKS Dae Jo-Yeong (DDH-977) a 4800 tonne destroyer (similiar to RN Type 45) and a small replenishment tanker ROKS Hwa Cheon (AOE-59, 9200 tonnes).
They're both on a world tour commemorating 60th anniversary of the Korean War - both due at Royal Victoria Dock (outside the ExCel Exhibition Centre). Looking at tide tables, my best guess for arrivals is c 1600 on 9 Sep for Dae Jo-Yeong and c 0400 on 10 Sep for Hwa Cheon.
Both have flight decks and hangars.

I am working at DSEI all week and toured both Korean ships today for my company and can confirm there are no helos on either ship!
As far as I know the are no helos on any of the capable ships berthed at Excel although the is an RN Merlin present at the car park end of the centre.
Cheers

Go to West Silvertown on DLR then walk through the housing to the dockside - you cannot get down the otherside of the dock without a permit. Last day today I believe.

Thanks svr1317, the Weather truly awful today, so I think I have to give it a miss. Shame though would have liked to catch these on camera.

Few of my shots from the weekend and Tuesday evening here.

I went to North Greenwich (Jubilee Line), came over on the Emirates Air Line for an aerial view and then walked around the south west side of Royal Victoria Dock to get the Wildcat on HMS Sutherland. I went to Royal Albert (DLR Beckton Branch) and walked along and over Connaught Bridge to get the two Korean ships.
Good luck.

Great photos mate, Looks like weather wasn't too bad either, Was a bit disappointed that the weather has really worked against me later in the week when I had time to go and see them.
