Yep....not a patch on previous years' "Invited" lists -- No Afghanistan , Syria or Iran , for example !!

Maybe that's a very early hint that the main Spamforce won't be attending again.

I did spend a fantastic and very peaceful weekend in Civilian...

Gonna go out on a limb here and say that Belarus, Cuba, Cyprus, Georgia, Macedonia, and Turkmenistan won't be sending any aircraft, for reasons that should be fairly obvious.

The rest? Roll on, even though I'm saving my European tour this year for Payerne!

Last year I think. If by some chance they did find enough cash and politically viable fuel/maintenance stops to hop one of their Frogfoots the distance, they ought to bring a two-seater with their best chef in the back seat so the world can acquaint itself with the wonder that is Caucasus cuisine.

i've not been to riat for probably 15 years or so now - i'm just looking forward to getting back there - even if it won't be a patch on what it used to be like

No invited countries list has been publised on the Air Tattoo website yet.

This list appeared on FACEBOOK last night from an account called "European Airshows".

Until it appears on the Air Tattoo Website, Official Facebook or Official Twitter I would take that list as RUMOUR only.

I can second that. Last night, just as the OP posted the list, it was on the website. I have seen it too.

Well until it is formally announced I would take anything as rumour or error, it is clear the site was updated last night (the FRIAT forum has been taken offline), that list is very very similar to last years and I would call error more than a genuine list at this time.

It's not the first time the previous years list has appeared a few days before the real list, IIRC it happened last year too.

Before I made my previous post , I made a point of checking the RIAT 'Latest updates' page on their website........that list was definitely on there.
Now it may have been posted in error , but that doesn't negate the fact that it was indeed posted.

"We are currently working on this area to develop the invited countries list into an invited air arms and operators list to provide you with more information about who we have approached to send aircraft to the Air Tattoo in 2014"

They've taken the list down to make it more specific
