Looking forward to this - postponing was definitely the right call!

Also, there appears to be good mix of jet, helicopter and prop aircraft. Cracking job!

I did feel sorry for those people coming a long way for the postponed event, but a healthy amount of "crap happens, move on" and inherent goodwill for Phil and the Nightshoot team has been shown.

On a personal note my journey is a whole 8 miles, possibly 8.5 miles if I stop for something to eat!!

I also forgot to mention the aircrews and airforces for sorting and allowing the aircraft to be allowed to participate in the re-arranged event, thanks everyone! You know who you are!

Looking forward to my Nightshoot debut on Thursday evening; stopped off at Wickes this morning for a lovely high-viz vest (at least I can now also drive to France)! Thanks to Giant for the introduction to this event and to Phil for all the details etc.

Will be bringing along my Olympus OM-D EM-5, so not a D-SLR like most will have I'd imagine, but looking forward to see what I can capture.

Do we get new booking in numbers for this or book in with the one issued for the canceled event? Sorry to ask but seem to be having email problems generally lately.

Thanks

Assuming it will arrive during the shoot as it has in the past the Air Ambulance operating out of Northolt at the moment is Waddington based G-LNAA.

Looking forward to another great Night at Northolt.

it looks pretty certain that they will be landing to the east which may affect your decision

Well, 2 FAF Alpha Jets have landed at Northolt already. I do not know if these birds are due to attend the nightshoot, or if they are just visitors and other Alpha's will attend.

This information comes from the Northolt email group, so thanks to those people for that.

Light train and showers are forecast for tonight. Obviously Phil hasn't made the necessary sacrifices to the weather gods yet.

Spare jeans already packed! After my first nightshoot in 2010 when mine got soaked, I thought there was a spare pair in the car but no, and following the wet 2and a half hour trip home, my knees were killing me next day! Also an umbrella following rain on the lens with the Typhoon!

looking forward to another good nightshoot!

On the military side they will probably turn up after they have finished their tasking for the day so could be early or probably late.

Forecast on the BBC and on Met Check has changed from when I looked at 07:00... looks like the rain might hit Northolt earlier in the afternoon and then clear in the evening... perhaps the raindances etc are working! (Hopefully!!)

The 'Light train' will make a nice change as I rarely get a seat, normally standing room only. Not so good news about the showers though.
