Back home after a blast round the North Circular and once again main thanks to Phil, Lee and the team for a great evening. We did feel a bit sorry for Phil when we got there due to the cancellations, but the evening was a great success, with the CN235 and it's long ground run before departing especially welcome. Roll on the next Northolt event

Julian,
So sad to see that we let you down again.
We'll try harder in the future for the free-loaders that don't attend the nightshoots to get the best aircraft not to turn up so you'll have plenty more to moan about.
Mind you, the Alphas Jets that arrived a little later than we were expecting did look nice under the lights - as always.

Thanks to Phil & Crew, first time for me, thoroughly enjoyed it. I even got some fairly decent photos!
Re: Northolt Nightshoot XVIa
Had a great night, I didn't get back until 2am almost. Can't wait for the next one either as usual..
The only let down for me was the very rude guy shouting abuse at the Marshall who was stood in front of the Casa waiting for it to go out, simple answer is, you move he is doing a job.
Other than that, top effort Phil, the Casa was worth the trip alone, I assume the Tracker cancelled due to bad weather, which no one can help. King Air was a nice touch too

I only live 5 minutes from NHT and used to attend all the day photoshoots but am not normally home from work to attend the nightshoots and have done my dues over the years to attend but now feel that it is just a worthless task just to see a few aircraft rotating their pretty propellers or whatever in the cold and wet and waste £20 in the mean time which I would rather give to a more worthwhile charity.
And I dont care who I upset!!!!!!

Last night's shoot was my first, and definitely won't be my last!
Thanks to Phil and team for the organisation of the event... Your efforts are much appreciated.
Also, to the guy who got stuck in the gap on the stairs - hope it isn't too painful this morning, and hope it didn't hurt too much when I freed it!!

Thanks Dan. Legs a bit scraped but I'm still up and walking. The 'Ouch' moment has passed. I wouldn't recommend that anyone else to try that particular trick though. Thanks to the person who took hold of the camera on my way down.
Thanks again to Phil for organising the evening, even if he did say I was expendible. Umph!

Re: Northolt Nightshoot XVIa
Well done Phil, Lee, Jane and all the helpers from RAF Northolt for yet another super evening. Great to catch up again with so many 'old' and familiar faces. Real quality again and a big thanks to our Irish and French friends for their distant support and of course RAF, Met Police and Air Ambulance as always. It was great to see so many immaculately prepared aircraft; anyone spot any dust! Its clear many people take a lot of pride in their aircraft. The reason for the events is special and I know 99% of those present never lose sight of that or all the considerable time Phil spends organising, phoning etc.Cancellations are just one of those things.
Keep up the amazing work Phil; the night and especially Building 27.
Best wishes, Ian

Re: Northolt Nightshoot XVIa
What an excellent evening again.
Pity about the very late cancellations and star items not materialising. However, we did get something with jets, rotors and props, so all major aircraft groups catered for!
I did feel Phil's pain, but we all know that until the wheels touch tarmac you don't believe any list! Overstressed A109, pah! That had nothing on Phil....
Highlights, the Irish Casa, first time for that particuliar aircraft type under the lights, the Alpha Jets were had a squadron badge I didn't immediately recognise not googled them yet to see where they came from. However, it was the 32(R) Squadron 125 pulled from the hangar that may not have been appreciated. The rumour is that the 125 type maybe being retired from service and that was possibly one of the last chances to catch the type under lights. The rumour might be way off, but I couldn't take the chance and snapped away.
JohnH, Or as he is now called "Hop along". Northolt now has the Keys and Hop along show.

Took me an absolute age to get home because of sone stupid road closures. Thanks again Phil and Co, pity about the cancellations but a great night none the less. Guess it illustrates how lucky we have been in the past. That Casa looked fab under the lights and great to catch up with the usual hilarious suspects!
Oh dear, how very sad. The nightshoots aren't just about pretty photos, it's also a great opportunity to meet up with old friends and make new ones. With that attitude though I'm quite glad you don't come along as I don't think you would be liked very much.

I can only echo what Ian and everyone else has said. Last night was a great night, even with the cancellations, John H even did a stunt man impressions to keep us amused!!!!
Phil always pulls off a good shoot, sometimes more aircraft occasionally fewer, but inevitably with a few rarities or new visitors, such as last night.
Well done Phil and all at RAF Northolt, you continue to do us proud
As for JohnH, I think it was because we didn't give him enough sympathy when he trapped his finger in his tripod earlier in the evening Ian
Hope your not too sore John.
Thanks again Phil.

I know you think you understood what I said, but I'm not sure you realise that what I said is not what I meant.

I suppose you're entitled to your opinion, Julian, but it's wrong.
I just don't don't see what right you have to comment on an event you haven't attended and have no intention of doing so in the future.
Meanwhile, we'll just keep filling in those missing aircraft numbers for you.
