Air to Air with the fantastic Canberra PR9

Post by Aviation PhotoCrew »

hello UKAR fans,

The Abingdon Airshow last weekend made it very clear that we have definately a new star in the airshowscene, I've only read positive comments on the superb display of the worlds only flying Canberra. Our Aviation PhotoCrew was very priviledged to fly a photomission with this unique aircraft on saturday, and it's our pleasure to share some of the results with you

The Skyvan photoship offers a wide variety of photo angles, but of course our most famous view is the 'head on' look  Everything was there, GREAT weather and a stunning backdrop, this is my favourite

Dave promised us a dynamic break, this was exactly what we had in mind!!!

These are the guys who deserve more than 1 beer....Belgian beers that is  Dave Piper & his mecanics from MidAir Squadron, and Bob Velleman and Thomas de Bruyn flying the Skyvan photoship.

Many thanks to all involved, hopefully you enjoy the photos. Go & see that Canberra at an airshow this year!!!!

Lovely images - but are you sure it's the world's only flying Canberra?

I thought there was a B-2 in Australia (and that's not including the WB-57s).

I believe the Temora Canberra has been parked for the past 2 or 3 years now. Whether it returns to flight remains to be seen.

Lovely shots, it was a real treat to see (and hear!) it fly on Sunday.

Fantastic shots! Thanks for sharing.

What a dream to be in the back of that Skyvan snapping at that silver legend!
