Little Russia Moscow tour
Little Russia Moscow tour
From may 06 till may 10 we went to Moscow and some airfields in the vicinity. On behalf of 4Aviation this was a recce mission. To research the photographic possibilities during the annual Victory aerial parade in Moscow centre and at airbases near Moscow. We were not disappointed so a trip will be organised by 4Aviation in 2015 when the russians celebrate their 70th anniversary of the victory over Nazi occupation. The only setback was that Ryazan did'nt fly on may 08, a day before victory day.

So many fantastic and rare (at least here in the west) types in one post. I really have to go to Russia.

Re: Little Russia Moscow tour
Nice set! The Kubinka photos were from the road by the fence?
A few things I noticed:
1) The Il-22 RF-90785 is landing with one engine shut down.
2) The Su-34s are actually from Morozovsk (the latest base to receive them)
3) On May 7th, the Mi-26 and Mi-8 helis were full of photographers/spotters. You may have gotten some waves from inside
And for May 9th, here is the view from the Il-78 maybe you can see yourself somewhere on the rooftop

It's not my photo just to be clear! I just found it on that website and thought it might be cool for berryg91 to see the opposite perspective.

Excellent stuff.
Re: Little Russia Moscow tour
All fabulous but particularly interested in the lumped and bumped Coots and Cubs. If they're putting on a big show next year (which it certainly looks as though they will) I feel another trip is on the cards.
You caaan't trust the system... Maaan!
Re: Little Russia Moscow tour
Thank you all for the nice words and feedback! Next year I will be back.
