These are breathtakingly good, the Corsair and DC6 in the rain are really well shot.

Poor chap in number 4! :icecream:

Great shots as always - actually really like the "rain" shots - something a bit different.

Do you shoot handheld? Or do you use a tripod?
Brilliant pictures.
If I shot at that lower a shutter speed I would probably only end up with one or two decent shots

Airshow post of the year so far - exceptional. If I'm honest, not a fan of 26 but as for the rest...brilliant. The WW1 dogfighting close-ups are amazing!!

Brilliant.

Love the focusing technique in 17 & 22. Don't recall seeing that effect before.

Looks like a very wet experience, but the pictures are fantastic, I especially like the WW1 dogfighting shots :)

You certainly done the best with what you could do with the rain shots, I really felt for that poor pilot on the WW1 German plane, 04 and I liked the composition of the two dog-fighting WW1 planes, 22.

However, I suppose unwarranted praise is much more preferable to unwarranted criticism but .....

No, I always shoot hand hold.

Indeed poor guy :) He landed in very heavy rain. I can't imagine fly open cockpit with 100 kts during such a rain  The aircraft is Fokker E III not Bleriot and this is replica.

A few more shots from this great event:
