Wow, that's quite a lineup! Lots of old friends, plus 3 Spitfires, Miles Falcon and Whitney Straight, Dakota, Optica, whizzy TRIG team and BA-4B, and Mystery Ship.

I'm thinking a Tucano display could be something pretty special, when it's up-close-Shuttleworth-style...!

Hope to see the Mew Gull flying this time... and fingers crossed for the Edwardians. I'm pretty stoked for this!

Brilliant!! That's looking like one of the best line-ups at OW in a long time. It'll be great to see the Optica again. It was very impressive last year.

I missed the Optica display last year. The only time I have ever seen an Optica display was at Farnborough decades ago, when IIRC it was piloted by Neville Duke. That display was boggling brilliant and I'm looking forward to next Sunday.

That does look like a very good line-up. Have to start praying for good weather!

Do get fed up with people quoting Facebook pages that the rest of us can't see. Still, the weather's looking good for Sunday.

For people who cannot use Facebook....I do not have a page on Facebook (just signed up) but it helps to get information from aviation groups.

I'm not on Farcebook but I can see the Shuttleworth Farcebook page because they have made it public.

Weather forecasts seem to agree that It's Going To Be Nice :-D

NNE wind though? Does that mean take-offs and landings from the main runway, will be the opposite direction to "normal"?

That's correct they will be taking-off from the opposite end to the hangars.

Although the weather looks fairly good the wind is gusting too high for the Edwardians.

34% cloud cover at midday, falling away to nothing as the day goes on... xcweather

Sounds ideal. Featureless blue sky is so boring...!

Boring, but when the flying is on it does make getting the exposure right easy :)

Featureless blue sky for me every time. The sun aways seems to be covered by a cloud just when an aircraft that I've been waiting for all day is up!

As a videographer I couldn't agree more. Bright conditions, some blue, some clouds of differing colour is my ideal. Looking forward to Sunday, see http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655689 .

Saw the Miles Falcon & Hawk depart Leicester earlier for OW. Apparently there's plans for a nice formation of Miles aircraft tomorrow (Falcon,Whitney Straight, Messenger etc)

A tad cloudy and breezy at the moment but I think we've seen the last of the rain and it is getting lighter. Hasn't stopped the flying so far and the forecast is for a bit of sunshine this afternoon.

Sadly the sunshine never materialised but it didn't detract from what was an excellent day of flying. Thoroughly enjoyed all the displays, with the BBMF Dakota and Sea Hurricane standing out (I've not seen a Hurri quite so low before).

Already looking forward to the Military Pageant in a couple of weeks, where hopefully we can get some better weather!

Another excellent day at OW. Highlights for me had to be the Sea Hurricane (never disappoints with it's low level passes), the amazingly agile Optica & the brilliant Mystery Ship & Mew Gull display.

Anybody any idea why the Tucano didn't turn up? I didn't hear or catch any mention of it on the commentary?

I noticed it disappeared off their updated provisional list earlier this week. No idea why it cancelled, but that's why it wasn't mentioned in the commentary.
