If you don't receive your ticket today (wednesday 25th) I would phone DBH and let them know. They will help you. I've been bothering Wendy for a week about a missing Mach 2 ticket, and got an e-mail from her yesterday to say my missing ticket has now been sent recorded delivery. She was very patient and helpful with me. Give them a ring.

I use it Thursday and Friday. Ok you get them on the ground moving rather than in the air (unless they break where it is over your head) but you have the best seat in the house for rehearsals.

In recent years sometimes arrivals have had better weather than show days which in that case you can bag your best shots during rehearsals of certain acts.

Good thought - I guess I'm more interested in bagging them on takeoff on the Monday than them landing I suppose. Not that fussed about rehearsals though. Having said that, this year of course no P&V for Friday so it's a moot point. Maybe I'll try a bit of Thursday in the enclosure and see what I think.

Hope there are a couple of empty seats near the top on Saturday

That sucks, every other year we have the same ticket wise, they have seated us together up at the top of the Grandstand, too late not to call and complain.

Enclosure vs P+V

Post by mstares »

Last year, for the Thursday, i spent the first 3/4s or so of the day at the P+V to photograph what I could have aircraft on approach, I only moved to the enclosure roughly in time for static walk deadline (not wanting 'just' taxi shots).

If the forecast is roughly equal for the various days , it is nice to get some of the rehearsals from the P+V so you will get rather different shots/angles than you will from the enclosure.

Cheers

Mark

I must've been sat two seats from you then - we got moved up to F125-6! Did you crack the joke about the Lightning showing off its stealth characteristics this weekend then?
