Twin Engined GB Eduard 1/48 Messershmitt - BF 110 Finished

Post by Skunkmiester »

Hi there,
may I join the group build please? I have only just started this one, I bought it a couple of weeks ago as I have always liked the 110. So far I have only given a base color to the components on the sprues.

It's an Eduard Profi Pack that was up on ebay for a rather cheap £22 (I thought Eduard models were usually a lot more)

I'd have thought you'd be fine with that, but Deacon will confirm  Looks like this'll be an interesting build!

I really like WW2 twin engined stuff and the 110 is one of my favourites.

It's great to have you on board mate and I look forward to watching this progress.

Thank you Alan.

The cockpit is now completed.

And now I'll move onto the gun compartment and getting the airframe together.

I'm doing a fair bit of filling and sanding at the moment, the engine nacelles are not quite Tamiya standard.

Well I'll be cutting this one a bit fine :)

Too much time in the garage making RC models and playing with balsa has delayed this build

Thank you, there are a couple of areas that I am not happy with and the shades are off but I'll tidy it up and see what I can do at the end of the build.

Next step is to get my 2020 out and have a go at the mottling.

Thank you

The medium grey is not dark enough though, I may have to re mask and do it again.

Just a bit of highlighting to do now, not sure if I will manage it tomorrow, but I will try.

Thank you very much.

I'll finish the build there, I won't carry out any highlighting as I don't want to 'over weather' it.
