Beware, we found a chippy just down the road towards Ruislip last time, and it was awful...(it was on the opposite side of the road to the base, and just under a bridge IIRC)...

I would certainly avoid that one if you can!!

Dan

I would agree with that... The pub across from the chippy is a bit of a dive, too...

Perhaps someone could clarify

Hope everyone has a safe journey there. If you see a noob struggling with settings or tripping over his tripod, it's probably me. So please say hello and offer encouragement...

Ooooh, as this is my debut here - is there anywhere to buy a hot drink or take a pee? :dummy:

Yes to both. all being well it will be in hangar 4.

Bad news chaps, Just been informed by BASC Marseille that due to a large number of fires that have broken out in Corsica and more expected tomorrow all available Trackers have deployed to do their duty! We will try again for March. The Tracker Chief Pilot is as dissapointed as us.
Cheers Phil

I can recommend the kebab shop My grill on long drive just east of the base, the chippy next door - not so much

Have just been told that a hole has been dug in the road outside Northolt, and the short filter lane into the base is blocked off. Access still possible but might contribute to a small jam. Maybe Phil can pop his nose outside for a more accurate update.

As at 1300L:

The 771NAS Sea King has cancelled as Culdrose is fogged in and it's not due to clear until tomorrow and the Boscombe Hawk failed an air test yesterday but attempts are being made to rectify the problem.

The Dutch B412 floating around the East End of London isn't planned to be part of the nightshoot (as far as we know, anyway!)

How much will it take for you NOT to do that, Ian? I don't have a particularly strong constitution...
