Really nice photos and great to see but I am intrigued to know why the official line was no photos aboard and no coverage.....

Best wishes, Ian

Spot the Difference !

Same ship, same aircraft, same photos ! viewtopic.php?f=9&t=65941 yet Colins thread has escaped the vitriol that this thread has had by certain members of the forum. (great shots by the way colin  ) so the question is where did I go wrong ? what made people take offense to the fact I was lucky enough to get on board that for some reason they didnt because Colin was eqaully lucky ? :dunno:

I even had posts deleted of Colins thread by the mods for some reason! I have asked the MODs why but have yet to recieve a reply :surrender:

Perhaps because they are not around yet.

Looking through Colin's post, all the photos appear to be taken 'off board' and I believe the request was for photos taken 'on board' to be deleted hence Colin's post still extant.

I believe a few people started throwing their toys out of the pram and having a go at the Embassy or whoever because they didn't get on board when others did. Through their selfish tantrums they may have blighted the opportunity for any one to get on board any visiting American ships in the future now.

There are always some I suppose, tbh I thought people might like to see the photos, I wasnt expecting the backlash and the green-eyed monster of some to decsend on the thread  I do hope others will not not think as to wether to post or not to post their photos from anywhere in the world in the future due to this small minority of selfish jealous people !

For the record i have no vitriol towards anyone who got on board well done also no green eyed monster and i have not complained to anyone... i only passed on what i was told when i applied for a media pass. So please dont have a go at me... as for mods removing pix from the forum you have to ask them why

Reading this just sums up why I rarely post on UKAR these days. All rather sad.

I thought the photos were great, and why not share what was obviously a wonderful opportunity go on board.

I still fail to see the logic behind this deleting of pictures. Some get on board and some don't. If all of UKAR got on the ship you would outnumber the sailors!

just seen this.!!!

So which members here have 'got a pair' to own up to their pathetic actions. (Edited for language)

Some people need to take a long hard look at themselves in the mirror!

I suspect what they see :king:

What they refuse to see

:tumbleweed:

too the OP. . fair play on ya mate! thanks for taking the time for posting previously.

Who said it was any one on this forum that complained?.

Until I'm corrected, I believe it was the US Embassy that requested that the images from on board ship be deleted as I stated in my earlier posting.

Requested? Sounds voluntary if they had already authorised the visit and the crew had no objections. You make your own luck in this hobby, fair play to the originator of this post. Those who threw a 'hissy' - do one! For all of us!
