Perhaps it's less to do with the "select group" and more to do with the fact that although rare shots they are slightly soft, particularly the second photograph. I'm sorry if that sounds a little harsh but there are many fantastic shots on this forum, and some great threads in this section, and this one does not quite stand out in the same way as the others, hence the lack of commments. That is not to say that you should not stop posting on here but just don't take offence when you don't rack up hundreds of comments.

Hi Thanks for your comments which have been taken on board, my comment does not only relate to this post but I have seen lots of other really good pics on here which deserve a kind word but no worthy comments, and unfortunately I also have seen utter rubbish taken by "certain" people and people comment that they are the best they have ever seen.
Perhaps I am missing something but this is just based on my observations.

Absolutely, I try and post on those threads as I know it can be a little disheartening to feel that your shots aren't "good enough" to comment on. As an amateur photographer myself I primarily post my aviation shots on here and I know how important those comments are
