Ireland? They have always been good supporters and are always pretty last-minute, but is this too last minute?

If they're coming over why not just include RIAT as part of the tour and stay over rather than Brize? Could easily use same accommodation if any booked. :dunno:

It's two Dutch Alouette III's Paul.

Yes, but which weekend are you talking about? Next weekend is 11-12 July - a week before RIAT, so there'll be nobody there to see them anyway... Or do you mean the RIAT weekend?

It's never too late for the Irish Air Corps to announce participation. They will probably send a PC-9M. There are 2 air displays in Ireland the same weekend as RIAT and they have already committed some aircraft to both those displays.

Hopeful a few additions today, would love some US CONUS heavies.

I must admit, before the P-1 announcement, I did really think RIAT was lacking a real "star item." Sure there's plenty of quality in there - Ramex, Zeus, Osprey etc, but the show has always be renowned to pulling something special and unique out of the bag and the P-1 is just that. So credit to Tom and the team at DBH.

According to RIATs Facebook account today... (Got wrong account when looked at the screenshot)

This year they are allowing Gazaebo's (!!!!!!!) to be put up by the public providing they are not within 10m of the crowd line.

Little tents, windbreaks and umbrellas fine but Gazaebo's??!?! That's taking things a little far!

And if there's the usual stiff breeze , expect loads of disruption due to aforementioned gazebos blowing away !!

I think I'll just bring a 100m long Marquee, that should be fine right? Just for me and the family to escape the worst of the weather!

Think of the revenue possibilities, you could charge people for sitting in your enclosure. ;-)

Hmm......
Just had a look on their twitter feed : https://twitter.com/airtattoo/with_replies ....... can't see anything on there about gazebos.
Any chance of either posting a link to the comment or just posting the comment itself ??

Edited to say....
Nowt about it on their farcebook page or website either.

Someone asked them via Facebook messaging if they could take a gazebo... RIAT responded saying yes provided it was 10m away. Said poster then posted screenshot of convo on another Facebook group (I believe may be nutters but not certain)
