I'm glad that it's arrived safely, though I suspect a lot of people will be furious that a plane landed and they didn't get a picture of it. Plenty of chances this weekend!

I'm guessing a Wednesday or Thursday practice is in order, roll on tomorrow!

Surely you're not working this thread while you should be marking, doing assessments, planning, sharpening pencils, sorting out displays for next term etc!

The pics of the P-1 arrival, the weather looked atrocious. Plenty of chances to get better pics. Just glad the star items are here (well one so far, with the other on its way).

There's no doubt it's a bit disappointing for FRIAT ticket holders not to have seen their arrival in the UK, although by the looks of the weather, I'm not sure anyone would have seen them anyway.

Anyway, for all those who have missed out, maybe this recent helpful thread will help them at least imagine the scene.

I'm thinking it will be two passes, one from the left and one from the right (as per similar RIAT formations in the past)
Probably be a nice sight, but I'm not getting too excited about it, think it'll be a bit of a letdown overall but will be happy to be proven wrong!

you must expect arrivals to be early then in the past, with them making Friday a show day, when in the past it was a busy arrivals day as was Thursday, you have to push back arrivals.

FRIAT members would have seen it if it had arrived on Wednesday, as Wednesday is the first day of arrivals, and FRIAT members would be there, some from Wednesday-Monday departures.

Any chance of a time for that Andy? I aim to leave St Asaph at 4.30am tomorrow and would be gutted to find it's first up and I miss it because of Brum traffic

TIA,
Pat

So no 24 hour down time for the crew. I knew these guys are made of sterner stuff than some would make out...

I would imagine they've brought more than two crews with them and the display crew probably aren't the ones who brought the jets in this morning.

Can one of the FRIAT people who sees the rehearsal tomorrow tell us what the display is like and roughly how long it is please?

Maybe I missed something but when did the Red Arrows/Vulcan formation get confirmed for the Saturday too? as I just remember a lot of complaining about how it was on Sunday only.
