Absolutely superb, noisy, skilful and quite unlike anything I've seen for some time. The interchanges between high and low were unbelievable!
Yep, MiG, F 18, Tiffie, A400, synchro..All crap Having said that I didn't rate the BoB tribute at all...
Certainly thought the BoB tribute could have involved a lot more, the commentary for it however was superb though.
Lowlight of the day for me was the TTTE commemoration. Three formation passes at three different wing sweeps (all aircraft at same sweep) with a break to land off the third. A few minutes between each pass too.

Volume of traffic, but if you leave your arrival time till 9.00, what do you expect?
That was the best full English breakfast I've had since Gary Wilmot's wedding.

I didn't ask for your opinion on the time that I arrived, and if you'd read my message you would have seen that I joined the queue at 9am, I'm still queueing now 90 mins later. I left home at 6.30am.
Ive been attending RIAT for years, and they've changed the red route this year, and c*cked up massively! Perhaps they got the Throckmorton organisers to plan the route for them...

You did ask for an opinion by posting. Maybe set off earlier next time so you don't have to go on about being in a queue on little country roads at one of the biggest airshows in the world.

Hang on, I'll lend you my ladder so you can get down from your high horse....

Jalfrezi - Sounds a nightmare. In what way has the Red Route changed as that is the route I use. I always aim to get there for 07-07:30, arrived at 08:30 once and was a nightmare, stuck for ages. At least weather is looking a bit better for tomorrow now.

He won't reply for a bit - he's just parking the car.
Nothings happened to the route - But the organisers say that an unusual proportion of Saturday tickets were sold to punters with GL postcodes which is inevitably going to put pressure on that route and Green, which was queuing back further and faster than normal.

So not only did they know how many were turning up but also where they were coming from and still it goes wrong. Yep, advance tickets really working then...

Although I come from the west, along the M4, I ignore the signs to exit at J17 and come off at J15 and up through using the blue route. No issues, the expected crawl for a while but no delays.

Thanks, -Liz Volunteer Historic Flight Foundation Seattle, WA
Don't forget the live stream from RIAT, Liz, although timing wise it might not work for you !
Oh wow! I got your message just 10 minutes before the BofB flight began, but was able to get in and watch live! That was wonderful, thank you so much! I will have to watch tomorrow as well
Those stuck in traffic were very understanding, it was clear that it was a nasty accident. The lovely French bonus at the end of the afternoon made up for the wait. First time out with new camera, pleased with results but nothing compared to the stuff already posted.
