I came across these a while ago; I do like the RN S-3s on page 3.

Some "What-If" inspiration
Some "What-If" inspiration

Re: Some "What-If" inspiration
Any of the Vikings are nice. The Finnish Viggen isn't bad either.
Re: Some "What-If" inspiration
How about having this as a GB category ?
Could be quite interesting.

Scott
what is the significance of that flag
Re: Some "What-If" inspiration
Good idea Scott but I wish there were some "cheap" 1/144 Vikings available.

Yep a 1/72 whif would be good,
The theme could be one of these:
- the aircraft I wish my airforce had! Modern ( easy for and Irish person)
- captured aircraft - ww2 (perhaps ones that were never photographed)
- aircraft that never made it into service, what they would have looked like.
- retired aircraft in modern schemes.
I dunno sounds like fun

Summat a little different.....I added a few bits to an FGR2 model for the Strike Fighters sim.......closed off the rear pit, added a pair of Harrier gun pods & other "stuff".
Might make an intresting "What if" model.

Sundowner _-do like the Phantom - but to be picky (and admittedly after only a quick check) XV431 never served with 2 squadron. (The art of a successful lie, apparently, is to get as close to the truth as possible.)

Or to tell the truth in such a way that it is perceived to be a lie......
