Anyone remember the fat slags, buster gonad and his whatever it was called and jonny fart pants on the jags in 91? Newark should get a couple of jags in gulf war colours and adorn them with viz imagary. Wouldn't be to disimilar to vaga girls on B17. Then invite viz and some ladies for a photo shoot. Go with it rather than against it

The Zurowski ZP.1 BAPC.183 is a homebuilt helicopter that was hovered by the person that built it, it came to NAM in 1984. It is a bit of ‘magnet’ for classic car buffs – on one occasion I was guided around the helicopter by such a group of enthusiasts who identified 12 or more car parts that have been used to complete the project.

The Luscombe P3 Rattler Strike G-BKPG was a private project that was designed to “…provide quick reaction close military support and also to be easily dismantled for quick deployment around the battlefield.” It flew on 2 November 1983 and advice on the best weapon mix was obtained from the Royal Ordnance Factory.

How is it bad publicity? Viz take nothing seriously, and their readers know that. All they have done is brought some attention to a couple of lesser known airframes.

I'd also like to know what happened with the stuffed peppers but the second part of the story has been chopped down the middle, I'll just have to make up my own ending

Psquidy, see what wiseman said, read rule 5 then Google jaguar gulf viz and the aforementioned viz art was splattered over jaguars in 91, think, may be wrong that some may have even attended shows like this but have to mind our p and qs now even though that's what they were called. No Internet like it is today though in 91

But at least the description is correct certainly in the latter case it's utter pants! Rattle Strike LOL. Talk about dramatic names, a bit like Ramex Delta, East Coast demo team, Zeus etc. to try and grab attention.

With regards to the Luscombe P3 Rattler Strike it is perhaps worth pondering the proposed armament fit:

“McDonnell Douglas 7.62mm chain gun, optional rocket launchers, anti-personnel mines & chaff dispensers”

I’m not sure how many ultra-lights had such an armament fit proposed for them – sadly it is not known whether these proposed weapons were ever tested on the aircraft!

Ironically our ‘Little Nellie’ – Bensen B.8M gyrocopter G-ASNY [RCA.203], is displayed virtually next to the Zurowski ZP.1 and that didn’t even warrant a mention!
