Newark Air Museum News 2016
As with previous years I thought I’d create a new Newark Air Museum News thread to use for short updates and news snippets from eastern Nottinghamshire.
As with the previous thread as the year progresses details of museum activities will be updated in here!
This could include such things as the Indoor Aeroboot / Aerojumble Table Top Sale – 5 March 2016; etc. and other event news, which can also be found in here!
Many thanks to those people who have visited the museum in 2015 and we hope to see you again this year and a Happy New Year to you all.
Could a Moderator please lock the previous Miscellaneous Newark Air Museum News thread?
Whilst the museum is closed today (1 January) we’re back open at 10am tomorrow, Saturday 2 January 2016.

Re: Newark Air Museum News 2016
Possible further Night Shoots have been discussed, but we feel it is best to do something when we have something new to offer as 'subjects' i.e. new acquisition, new paint scheme etc. - rather than just doing the same airframes each time.
As such it is unlikely that we would be in a position to do anything until the autumn, at the earliest!
As for the Draken being involved that seems unlikely; this is due to the number of fragile airframes that would need to be moved to get it out of Hangar 1 (Monospar, Lee Richards Annular, Tiger Moth, Clutton FRED, plus the Auster fuselage & Jaguar cockpit) - perhaps the only time this might happen would be for a major airframe reshuffle - sadly this is not on our radar at the moment.
Sorry!

Re: Newark Air Museum News 2016
That sounds good to me but please do it yourself and not give it to another expensive third party. would rather the money go to you and not them.
Life's a piece of S*** if you look at it!

Previous approaches have been declined.
Any future Night Shoots at Newark would be organised by the museum, but we're not making any promises!
