I took the opportunity to make some long exposure photographs of the Cold War Jets aircraft at Bruntingthorpe and here they are...

For those that are interested. The fast moving clouds really helped the effect. Exposure time was in the region of 30 seconds and to do this I used a ten stop and a two stop square filter along with a two stop ND grad filter. This combination produced a colour cast that I was not able to null out and monochrome enhances the effect to a greater effect anyway. The images are noisy, so some noise reduction has been applied, sometimes to add to the cloud effect. The photos have been individually processed so the tone and tint varies according to the mood.
Lastly the clouds themselves varied sometimes almost completely overcast and sometimes patchy and fast, which produces the better effect.

Very nice - the VC10 is a gorgeous shot, best of the lot for me

Love these, superb.
Think you were right to process them monochrome as it gives them more atmosphere, well that's my opinion anyway for what it's worth.
