Think you owe the "bunch of muppets" a big apology...
Will be a very well supported event I can imagine, excellent news.
13 minutes and 30 seconds in you may hear a representative of a certain Airshow Review website discussing the announcement with BBC Radio Lincolnshire this morning.....
"So... what aircraft have been booked, and what's the weather going to be like?" Asks skyflash
Possibly RAFAT ?
Addition after a bout of gardening. The KingAir would be very nice and different from the normal fast jets. A flypast of military helicopters from all NATO; police & (air ambulance - no, that is daft). A flypast of military heavies.
I've been having flashbacks of: From twenty-two airfields, 1,545 troop-carrying aircraft and 478 thin-skinned gliders took to the air. Most of them over our home.

A bout of gardening or a bout of heavy drinking?
The King Air is too dangerous remember!

I don't expect s/he's gone anywhere 'sunny jim' [sic]. S/He must busy writing his letter of apology to the good ship DBH.
On which note, static's looking a bit thin
Just been amusing myself with a read back through this rather splendid thread and to be fair to n7651248568936521478785078* (and where is he by the way, I'm getting a little concerned...) there were a couple of other forumites who were just as forthcoming with their 'I'm in the special club I know more than you' comments - perhaps they should be equally vilified, y'know what with everything being fair and all. Take a bow waggyslap and lowheat module*

I am glad that I was one of the supporters of the new show at Scampton right from the first time we heard about it!! despite what n0143773 was saying
I believe that the RAF Waddington Airshow director will be involved with the new Scampton show so there is a possibility of the new show being the best of Waddington and RIAT combined!
as mentioned on the RIAT and Scampton thread it is at least likely that Scampton will host the Red Arrows anniversary airshows rather than Fairford.
Does anyone know if Scampton can accommodate flares??
