Mission to Zaragoza

Zaragoza Tiger Meet 2016 Trip

Despite the best efforts of French ATC we managed to get to Zaragoza in time to catch the return of the Thursday afternoon wave. Here are a few of my shots from the mound:

Next stop Spottersday Friday. Enjoyable overall but failed to live up to advertised expectations. Could and should have been a sensational afternoon by the runway. Instead, as earlier posts have reported, we were allowed back up to the edge of the taxiway. Initially they were going to throw us out at 2pm so at least it was some compensation. First some from the morning by the runway:

A good time in town on Friday night followed by the Open House on Saturday. Just wish they could have started the flying a little later due to the sun position.
Managed to get around the static (just) before it finished.

A great night in town followed. In summary a very good trip but could have been sensational if they stuck to programme.

Thanks to Senors zigzag and st24 for your most excellent company!

Well, that just passed an hour of my time.
Stunning work.
Great clarity, blue skies and contrasy Tango colours.
What a variety of 'frames too.

Thanks guys, I must admit that I loved the French Gazelles too. My favourite though was their E-2!

Lovely stuff as always mate, very well done coping with the inevitable heat-haze to produce images of such sharpness.

Excelente! You've done alright there mate, it's worth noting that the wind and resulting dust was as difficult as the haze on the Thursday! :tumbleweed: Great stuff

Thanks Geoff. I'd forgotten about that bl***y wind on the Thursday. The dust reminded me of where we parked at Cambrai if you were there. Skyflash certainly knows what I'm talking about!

Great to see the large file sizes.
Some nice stuff in that lot, especially the static angles and the Gazelles

Many thanks, most kind. The Gazelles were lovely but I was quite surprised how few people were taking the static seriously. Rows of fighters and nice distant valley sides made a welcome change from ice cream vans, funfairs, cones, the general public etc.

Ta! True but thank god I've not got any video!
