God those Spits look good! I love the black/white undersides and three in corresponding markings looks epic.

They do indeed, they have been up again today, the locals are enjoying them

Just one from today, taxiing to depart.

Great to see that they've gone to the trouble of getting the appropriate mark Spitfires, (although one may be a Mk V?) with the correct camo etc.

Yes - but with RED crowbars on the entrance flap - aaaaarrrrggh !!!

BoB Spits didn't have the crowbar fittted - and later, when they were fitted, they were the interior colour or black.

The red colour is a modern H&S requirement - and once you know about it, it stands out a mile in colour pics of modern restorations.

Three Spitfires turned up at Lee airfield yesterday for the movie Dunkirk, not sure how long they are staying but I think it's a week or two. All three went flying early this morning, great to see them here.

Great pics, thanks for sharing.

Pornography! :yahoo:

I had originally thought the warbirds wouldn't feature much in the film, maybe restricted to just flying around in the background, but by the sounds of it there's gonna be a lot more than just that. Can't wait!

The 3 Spits, Yak 50, Aerostar 601P and an American AS350 all arrived at Shoreham last Sunday evening from Calais. The Aerostar appears to have been based at Shoreham all week but departed for L-on-S on Friday afternoon.

Yeah all at Lee airfield now, think we have run out of room, Aerostar had to go to the other side of the airfield for hanger space.

Few from today, very dull day.

Fantastic shot's Richard. I saw them over Southsea around lunchtime and then again, in the middle of the Solent at about 15:30

Yeah not sure what they are doing there, simulating bombing with water and add effects later I reckon.

Last few from this evening, just landed, model aircraft now up again, started at 7:30am this morning.
