Wings over Houston 2016 (updated)

Post by DriesE »

Last weekend I went to my first airshow outside Europe and I must admit: I wasn't disappointed. The weather turned out to be very nice, perhaps even a bit too much for taking pictures, but it was a welcome change after the typical grey skies during this airshow season. Also the static and flying display offered a great variety of warbirds we don't see often at this side of the Atlantic. Especially the elegant tigercat was an unexpected bonus for me  .

What a tasty lineup!

Lovely sharp shots also, the resting Bearcat being my personal favourite.

One of my all time top 10 airshow venues, they always put something different on every year.

Got to get myself back for an event.... maybe next year ;-)

Thanks for the comments, guys!

Some more. I hope you don't mind the quantity, but there were a lot of nice aircraft:

An nice selection of aircraft types and all images technically excellent. Would love to see the Jug and the Aircobra, neither of which participated in the two Oshkosh events that I attended.
Cheers,

Really enjoyed looking at these, thanks for sharing. Not easy with that harsh Southern light.
