Some photos from the final phase of the Hellenic Air Force FWS (SOT - Scholeio Oplon Taktikis) 2016 training course.
This year's FWS training course saw the final (ever) participation of the legendary RF-4E Phantom II. The RF-4E is to retire at the beginning of May 2017 and 348MTA, its host Squadron, will be deactivated.

Interesting set of photos - it'll be a sad day when the last Phantom lands for the final time.

Savvas,
With the retirement of the RF-4E this year do you know of any plans to offer a farewell photoday at Andravida ?
Any idea of the final retirement date for the rest of the Greek Phantoms ?
regards Paul

Good day Paul!
The retirement day of the RF-4E is set on May 5th 2017. AFAIK, there will be a celebration and commemoration and most probably there will a photoday on that day. But it's not certain yet if that will be open to public or via a request to the HAF HQ. I also know that there will be a formal collector's photo book describing the history of RF-4E in Greek service and the history of 348MTA. The ceremony will be held in Larissa AB, host base of the RF-4E.
Now for the rest of HAF F-4E I think we will be seeing them for quite some time!

There was no clearance to shoot the Egyptian F-16s or the personnel at the time the visit took place.
Nonetheless, they were a beautiful sight!
