BA 115 Orange-Caritat 15-17.05.17

Post by DeanW »

Had a few days down at Orange earlier this week - good company, cracking weather and plenty of flying made for an enjoyable trip.
Don't be fooled by the repetitive serials, these were shot over three days, it's just that EC 2/5 evidently like flying the same few airframes!

Lovely photos

Nice to see some from the North of the field?

Great set Dean - love these things in this camo, much better than the dark green/grey on the other variants. Second image with the scenic backdrop is lovely.

Great stuff, mate, can never have too many M2000 shots :clap:

Any issues with being on the fence? We're planning to grab some shots off base during NTM but aren't sure how happy French security is with that?

No massive issues with security. Most of the time we were on the East side of the runway, where there's no base infrastructure, so we weren't really bothered by anyone. However when we moved to the West side of the runway we parked near the fence on the approach which attracted the attention of the military police. They sent out the Gendarmerie to have a chat with us (they were very polite), took our details and were happy for us to continue photographing the aircraft providing we moved back from the fence.

Nice shots from a great place to visit. Had quite a few hours there whilst driving on to Paul Ricard over recent years, usually melting in +30c temps. Unlike yourself though, I've never managed to get a usable shot on the ground yet due to excessive heat haze.

Cheers;
