Spoilsport....before anyone's had a chance to slip in a 'spirit' hint.
Now everyone will be flocking there in the hope of seeing them.
Hopefully they'll sneak them in when it's dark.

Cheers Gary. I did wonder why they were so far east. Would have been a nice sight at Holbeach!

Need some quick advice! Only ever been to Fairford for RIAT, but fancy a drive up to see some of today's movements. Where's the best place to view and park etc without breaking any laws but get best views?
3.5 hour round trip, so would really appreciate some sound advice please

Adie, I asked the same question on FC and got some useful advice. If you park at the Marston Meysey end there are public footpaths which take you to the fence. However the advice was to stick to the paths and park carefully because the locals do have a lot to put up with.

This might help

Hope this helps anybody - taken from local website

Thanks very much. I'm a little ignorant about these USAF exercise days, about to head up shortly but worried I'll sit in a field for 4/5 hours and see nothing lol. Long way to come if unlikely to see much that's all...

Hope the Mods don't but I have copied and pasted this from Rob at Scramble as I was struggling to understand what had actually come in and when. If this is incorrect then please do correct me.

From various sources:

Two B-1Bs have landed at Fairford on 7JUN (as Mytee11 and 12):
85-0083/EL
85-0084/EL

A third B-1B arrived on 8JUN as Mytee13
86-0139/EL

They are joining three B-52 already in:
60-0002/LA '2 BW' markings (inbound c/s Mytee51)
60-0021/LA
61-0020/LA '20 BS' markings (inbound c/s Mytee96)

Arrival of two B-2A's on 9JUN
82-1068/WM 13 BS as Mytee21
88-0329/WM 13 BS as Mytee22

Rob

Hope this helps rather than hinders .

Till when are the B-2s staying at Fairford?
And is it usual that the bombers are flying during the weekend or was today a exception?

Thanks in advance,
Stian

At least a BUFF and Bone are scheduled to fly into Cosford and Sola (a BUFF for Norway), so at least one of each of those will be up tomorrow.

Reads like this is RIAT related?

That was my thinking.
I was at work when I posted it, so didn't have access to my charts to see where 'Bravo' & 'Delta' are, then when I did check this afternoon the UKAR site was dead ( or was it just me  ) so I couldn't update it.

Quick question...

If the B1 is scheduled to be doing a flypast at Cosford around 2.30 to 3pm, what time would you think be the earliest it'd head off from Fairford?

Thinking of a trip down from Chester to see it take off rather than going to Cosford for it, the take off is what it's all about for me...but just trying to gauge what time it'd be leaving Fairford.

Silly question I know!

According to FC, it will going to Cosford at the end of a mission tomorrow. They took off at 6:05am today.
