Kempsford Camping

Post by Clive1 »

Evening all

The web site is up and running, and Therasa will be sending your emails tomorrow. As usual we are giving those who came last year first dabs, and everyone else can book from 1st March. I think we sold out mid march last year so please do get in early as we hate letting people down.

New site office  , no new dog

It'll be July before we know it.....

See you all soon.
Clive

Silly question time

If I fill & return the form on the 1st March, do I wait for confirmation of my pitch or send the payment at the same time as the form?

Just checked the website, indeed it is.

 That is early !!

Can't be a knock-on effect from the campsite closures last year ( unless I'm mistaken it's still in the 'previous visitors' period )

Does that mean they'll actually be open - and properly staffed - during the daytime, as opposed to the pot-luck it's been in recent years ?
I've pretty much given up using it as there are only so many times I can be bothered to wander down there on the off-chance there's actually someone manning the place.
( And before anyone comments....no, I can't be arsed to waste my time trying to find someone serve me )

What !! You're having a laugh - the catering facilities and bar are always fully staffed. I've stayed at Kempsford from the Wednesday to Sunday every year since 2006 and never had a problem.

I've stayed there every year from Tuesday ( and a couple of times from Monday ) to Sunday/Monday since RIAT came back from Cottesmore ( so 2005 ? ) and a couple of years before it moved to Cottesmore, and I say again -- in recent years I've found it unstaffed during the day ( the catering area in particular )

They quite possibly know that you're a pedantic Welsh git and hide when they see you coming.

Just saying.

Probably because they're all Sais and are therefore scared of the Welsh.

I haven't had any problems that I can think of and I might be a little bit fond of some of the staff, haha! I suppose I have tended to visit the bar at fairly peak times so maybe I've just been lucky.
