I thought I'd take advantage of some rare time off and visit the loop in the hope of getting some Tornado shots before they disappear entirely. Indeed, some great passes from a Tornado singleton and pair respectively and my first low level A400Ms - what a sound they make through the hills, ZM407 being one of the lowest passes I've ever seen through the Bwlch! I'm still waiting for a swept Tornado, I live in hope!!!
Not 100% happy with the image quality at all, adding the 1.4x converter to my 300mm appeared to make most of the GR4 images soft, the A400 shots are the 300mm on its own and are pin sharp. The only frustration of the day :/ I have tried to microadjust but it appears to be focussing fine. Bamboozled like heck again, as the youngsters say these days.....so apologies for the poor quality on these. Thanks for looking and enjoy!

One sunny day in August!!
Re: One sunny day in August!!
Ian I do not think you should be apologising for the quality. You perhaps are seeking the Holy Grail of capturing fast moving aircraft in incredible detail, however the images I see here and on your site show that you are very good at what you are doing and few could match the results. Thanks for sharing them.

If they are poor quality, I'll have some more poor quality.

I would be pleased with all of them, the tonka,s are getting rare now. I still need A400M shots at low level might take a trip and hope for the best very soon.
