Just checked on Amazon. Not cheap, not cheap at all!

Yeah I think I picked it up for about £40 from HMV last year just before Christmas. I see Amazon has it for around £44. It is pricey that's for sure. I think there are 8 series with around 20 eps or so for the majority of each series.

Against The Law on the BBC - very good docudrama indeed

With just the slightest bit of finesse, I might have made a little less mess.

American Gods -- not on a par with 'Preacher' in my opinion, but still watchable & amusing.
Jumps about for seemingly no reason, then usually all becomes clear....episode 4 being a prime example of this.
Edited to add.....
Going by the first 6 episodes, can we have a spin-off series with just 'dead wife' ( Emily Browning
) & 'leprechaun' please, as they're the two most entertaining characters in the show

Re: What are UKARians watching on TV?
Slightly off topic....
A couple of months ago I posted about the BBC's plan to require registration by anyone wanting to watch iPlayer.
This has now come into effect, so if you aren't registered you can't watch anything.
It was thought by some that the registration process was just another way of being 'spied upon' by the BBC.
Today, I bit the bullet & registered.
What's involved ? .....entering a DOB ( for age-related content ), an E-Mail address, a password & a postcode.
That's it !
The only verification involved is the usual check to confirm the E-Mail address is a valid one.
So as far as the BBC are concerned, I really am Brevet Cable & I live in a factory !
Oh, and it's a one-click action once registered to turn off the 'personalisation' settings.

Been watching Outlander. Last weeks episode included a sequence not far off being akin to a porno film. I was shocked!

That'd be the wedding episode then.
Wife is a fan of outlander and I;ve watched a few of them - Is a good series. Recently was up in Scotland so saw a few locations where it was filmed.

Well, Amazon's stupid decision today means I'll be watching less series come November.

Episode 7. I've given up on a number of shows recently after watching the 1st or 2nd episodes including Top of the Lake for example. Will keep on with Outlander until the bitter end however!

Re: What are UKARians watching on TV?
I persevered with both series of 'Top of the Lake' on iPlayer despite them being naff & sexist ( the second series is worse than the first with regards naffness ) but couldn't get into 'Outlander'

Re: What are UKARians watching on TV?
Third series of 'Vikings'.
Several characters killed off, one in a somewhat unusual manner ( unless you know the Norse sagas the series are based on )
Battle scenes which wouldn't look out of place in 'GofT' and Ivar the Boneless makes Ramsay Bolton look like a tree-hugger.
Oh, and the usual obligatory gratuitous sex scenes.

A superb season. Rumours are the final one won't air until 2019 though!

Sentiments echoed. The entire season as a whole, from the acting to the special effects and everything in between, was a masterclass far above much of the endless remakes, reboots, prequels, sequels, and other unimaginative average crud that seems to be churned out by Hollywood these days.
What's this about 2019, though?

Yep definitely 2019 for the last series - Void to be filled by Westworld which returns in 2018.

You mean there's two more years before it's all over and everyone shuts up about it?

at the risk of more emojis causing themselves head injuries you probably won't be pleased to hear that there's a load of spin off series planned for the future after the main series finishes.

To be honest I was a bit underwhelmed with the season finale. The big reveal was something we all knew already anyway and there was only the one unexpected demise.
I just hope the final season doesn't just end up as a cgi slash fest against the whites. GOT has always been so much more than that and the politicking and dialogue have been just as big a part of why I love the show as all the sword wielding.
