657 AAC - the final seven Lynx cabs

Post by centaurus18 »

Following 657 Squadron AAC's Lynx formation tour last month, all its seven Lynx cabs have now been ferried into Middle Wallop, their flying careers over.
This marked an end to the "battlefield' Lynx' type's varied service career, where it was used by the Royal Marines and Fleet Air Arm in addition to the Army Air Corps.

First of the seven AH.9As to arrive was ZE380.

Sad day, the end of an era.

Thanks for your time.

Nice shots Mark,

Even if its a sad occasion watching something going to the parts recovery line. Speaking of which on the day of the flypast tour, there was one camo Lynx outside MPSU with a red door on it. Seen as we passed MW mid afternoon.

Any idea which one it was?

ZG920 was the only Lynx outside with a dayglo door on it as of lunchtime today when I checked, it has been outside for a while so probably the one you saw
