Cobra Warrior 2018 - RAF Coningsby / Waddington
Cobra Warrior 2018 - RAF Coningsby / Waddington
There is another German deployment in September to Coningsby. Should be TLG51 Tornados from Schleswig and TLG73 Typhoons from Laage.

Thanks to the Coningsby spotters group. German EF2000s should be arriving Friday at Coningsby, also John from the Wave has said some Italian EF2000s due at Waddington for the exercise on the WAVE Facebook page

54+13 [3E8B41] A400M GAF062 inbound Waddington at this time, originated from Schleswig-Jagel.
Re: Cobra Warrior 2018 - RAF Coningbsy
I'm a tad confused. Any guesses as to whether this means that the German Typhoons and/or Tornados will work out of Waddington instead of Coningsby now? Or have the German AF delivered the Italian AF's support kit for their EF2000s? Or is it just wait and see as nobody has the foggiest? And Schleswig-Jagel is the Tornado training base now isn't it?
Re: Cobra Warrior 2018 - RAF Coningbsy
Looks like the German EF2000 will go to Coningsby, Italian EF2000 to Waddington.
Not sure about the Tornados, looks likely Waddington with the support going there? I believe TLG51 stood two new squadrons TLG51(4) preform aircrew training now they have withdrawn from Holloman. TLG51(3) is meant to be some form of UAV squadron operating the IAI Heron. TLG51(1) &(2) are frontline squadron operating the IDS & ECR

How long do you know is the deployment for at Coningsby & Waddington. Is it a big exercise around the UK?

Don't forget that the NOTAM times are GMT, so add an hour for BST.
In other words...

Bit like the ACMI days at Waddington.
