Sentry Eagle 2017

In July last year, the exercise Sentry Eagle 2017 was held at Klamath Falls in Oregon. The host unit was the 173rd FW which flies the F-15. Other squadrons which participated included the 142nd FW, 144th FW, 162nd FW, 388th FW, 149th FW, 56th FW and VFA-25 from the US Navy. The exercise was short, only 4 days long. But there was a lot of action in that time frame, and a few nice colored special anniversary schemes. A small bonus was a Super Hornet demo from VFA-106.

Nice variety of participants at a exercise so close to home for me. Sadly takes place during RIAT.. maybe next year I'll skip RIAT and head south. The Screaming Eagle from what I have heard has been painted over now? Thanks for sharing these pictures.

Thank you for posting these, it’s nice to see the land of “no slack”. I have a big soft spot for the 173rd after they visited us in 2016 for Sentry Lynx here in Finland. It was a pleasure to work with them.
