Jalfrezi @ The Victory Show, Cosby 2018

Post by jalfrezi »

[*]"Turning Point" - Ian Garfield reports from Foxlands Farm, Cosby.

Following on from Ian Garfield's review of the Cosby Victory Show, I've finally finished all of the photos from the Saturday of the show.

So here's a few (a lot) photos from the show. While the display only lasted 90 minutes, it was probably one of the best warbird displays that I've ever photographed.

Looks like a really great more intimate airshow. Excellent warbird pics and also some great panning.

Now on my watch list for next year.

Thanks, Tom. The Victory Show is definitely worth a visit, particularly if you're also into military vehicles and re-enactors. The flying display is only part of the show, lasting just over 90 minutes - but what a 90 minutes!

Dear Lord (not that I believe in you) but when I grow up, I would like to be as super talented with a camera as Jalfrezi is

Stunning pics Nick, looks like it was a stunner of a show, probably helped tremendously by the weather as well as the content

Thanks, Tim!

We were blessed with perfect conditions and a great display line, so it was difficult to go wrong really.

Super pictures!! As someone that was involved with the air show element what did you think of the new 'curved' display line? It certainly seems to have allowed for some excellent viewing and photographic angles. We tried to mix up the tail chases so that we didnt just have the aircraft in a constant dull follow my leader format droning up and down for 20mins. A lot of people like the 109 chasing the Hurricane and then bouncing the two 'scrambled' Spitfires and chasing both of them before firstly being sandwiched between them and finally being chased off with the two Spits behind.

I have to say I was very impressed with both the curved display line and the mix of types displaying at the same time, it really offered some unique photo opportunities over single displays. Like I said in my original post, for me, it was one of the best warbird displays that I've ever photographed, and a very enjoyable 90 odd minutes of photography.
