Great catch! When was the last time Sunderland had an International Display team?
Re: Sunderland airshow 2019
Good to see this lot getting out and about - they did East Fortune a few years ago too.
Posting comments on an aviation-related chatroom, are ya? Looks like it an' all...
Re: Sunderland airshow 2019
Probably to fill in for the Red Arrows, Will they be US/ Canada bound around that time?
Re: Sunderland airshow 2019
Yes, their final display in the UK will be RIAT.

T-33 is a catch, not been seen in the UK for years, where is it confirmed that its the Norwegian one?

Re: Sunderland airshow 2019
Sunderland confirmed it themselves. Norwegian example is returning to the circuit this year, and there's no others based in Europe.

For info, a T33 arrived in France last year and is operated by "Top Gun Voltige"

P-47 is bringing 3 friends on the latest update!
Re: Sunderland airshow 2019
Draken added and the Wildcat will be landing on a warship which will come in close so we can see it.
Re: Sunderland airshow 2019
Has a decent line up for a seaside airshow - might give this one a try this year
Where is the airshow datum for the displays?
Is the beach the best place to be to see the displays?
Is there PA along the beach too or do you have to bring your own radios to listen to the commentary?

Re: Sunderland airshow 2019
Having seen a post earlier today on their FB page the Draken is still awaiting final clearance!

Re: Sunderland airshow 2019
Looks like the T-33 has cancelled due to pilot availability. The Draken has now received final display authorisation so looking good for it’s attendance. Any one know it’s arrival day/ time?
Re: Sunderland airshow 2019
Weather forecast not looking great for Friday and Saturday which is a shame as it’s a decent lineup this year

MiG-15 heading north over York. Would guess this might be replacing the T-33.
Edit: Going to EDI for East Fortune airshow. Could still display at Sunderland I assume.
