This is for the NATO flypasts, it’s been known for months that it wouldn’t take place on Sunday.

You have to add an hour to those times, they are ZULU / UTC/ GMT. Not BST

I would have thought if a special flypast was arranged for Sunday a NOTAM would have been published.

Indeed, but as they're still attempting to put that together maybe timing isn't yet known. Wonder how late they'll advise on that...

At what scale does a flypast require a NOTAM? I'm assuming that the Red Arrows in formation with a 747 or similar would not require a specific NOTAM (beyond whatever covers the airshow itself) whereas the NATO flypast that we can assume will comprise of a much larger collection of aircraft stretched over several miles and that requires a fair bit of holding, forming up and breaking up.

I personally can't see a flypast of that type being put together for Sunday. I'm sure they're working more towards a Red Arrows and something else formation akin to Saturdays BA 747 appearance.

Also, regarding the NATO flypast; do they typically require a practice? I recall quite a bit of practicing occurring for last years RAF 100 flypast, although maybe that was done in blocks (Typhoons, helicopters etc.) But again, I reckon this NATO flypast will be a lot smaller and comprise of individual or the odd pair of aircraft with plentiful separation.

According to a post by a group member on Facebook "The E-6B mercury of VQ4 Sqn has had to pull out of RIAT" i hope this isn't true.

PdF were never going to be displaying on Sunday, they may depart on the Sunday early doors like previous times.
