Not sure it could match the Blades in formation with an A400M mind.

nothing can to be fair. absolutely unique that

Here's something I don't understand - I actually think I would be more interested if it was just a solitary A400M flypast...

it was a joke mate. wasn't having a go at you was more a reflection of some of the moaning that has gone on in here.
iim one of the ones that will take whatever we get. would love a B-1 though, or a rogue A=10

Apologies. I didn't realise you were joking and I flew off the handle (again).

A B-2 flypast would be lovely.

If it turns out to be true, could the organisers persuade them like they did at the 1997 show to land for a while as well?

That'd please alot of us I'm sure.

B-2 would be excellent, absolutely nothing else like it and to think we’ve had one in the flying for the past 2 years in a row is ridiculous.

Fingers crossed if it comes to fruition it isn’t held over Brize for 15 mins for something mundane to go on too long, and we get something like 2017’s appearance instead.

Would be nice with a KC-135R with its boom lowered this time rather than the two Eagles if it did come to fruition.

it was literally just one flypast wasn't it last year? 2017 it went over a couple of times

Yes, literally one high flypast last year (I missed it in 2017)
A shame really, because it was holding forever out in the distance

Airbus 50th, so presumably they tried to get the A380 in formation with the A400 before The Blades.

I wonder if they asked Brize Norton?

Like I said when it was announced, just get the A400 flying behind a Voyager with its drogues out. Bingo - Airbus flypast and an AAR demo.

My usual consultancy fee of £333,333 applies.

So that means we’ll be getting the one in that gorgeous scheme  They must have some serious slack in their fleet though to have 2 heavies sitting in the U.K. for 2 weeks!

Re: the flypast - wouldn't it just be fascinating to know the thinking behind it. I mean, the actual thinking. Like, "I've had an idea guys..." Followed by a chorus of, "yeah that sounds great, book em in..."

I'm not knocking the flypast, it will be what it will be (and the idea of having just the A400m in a flypast is a bit weird given that it's displaying anyway) but I am genuinely interested in how it came about.

I don't expect an answer, obviously, but interested nonetheless.

Have there been any more developments with regards to the Spanish Harriers and the comment about Sunday being a single? Has that been confirmed anywhere? Was it a tongue in cheek remark made at Yeovilton?

I'm Mach 3 FRIAT, so it makes no real odds of difference to me... but #askingforafriend
