Agree'd only three episodes left

I'm disappointed with GOT so far in this season. The first 2 episodes could have been condensed into 1 for all that actually happened and the last episode without giving anything away for those that might not have seen it was frankly a bit daft.

And that's without mentioning how annoying it was not being able to see very much of it because it was too dark! Although I do accept that it did very much depend on what you were watching it on, I have watched it on 2 different TV's and it is very dark and difficult to make anything out whilst my son watched it on his phone and said it was fine.

I'm still not entirely sure who H is/was/might be.

I even think it might be me...

Not sure if the Morse code thing was uber clever or just faintly ridiculous.

Enjoyed it though!

The last episode made no sense. They had built H up to not only be a bent copper, but a bent copper who controlled other bent coppers, including Chief Inspectors and above, coppers in Vice, Serious Crime, local stations, AC12 and AC3 and various firearms branches. H was running ( and feared by) the Organised Crime Unit that he effectively ran. Nobody ever ordered H around.

Suddenly they find a senior policeman with serious debt who could be open to a bribe and have found the criminal mastermind behind the other stuff.

Would a dying man who was told to spell out the name of the leader of the bent copper brigade, start tapping out H in morse code , while nodding or blinking to H , but he really meant there are 4 leaders and not H really ?

Agreed. Really felt for those poor guys working the Power Station when the reactor went, think they pretty much nailed that part.

Just started on Chernobyl.

Very good, very harrowing. Would have preferred it done in the Russian/Ukrainian language with subtitles - a little of the impact is lost with everyone speaking with British accents.

Very, very good stuff, I thought.

This season hit a low point with Episode 3, but honestly, I thought it ended really well. Regardless, though, what a spectacular project. :king:

Glad GOT has finished to be honest. Massive fan right up until this last season where the writers have completely and quite literally lost the plot.

I think my wife nailed it when she said "it's like they've been told they need to finish it but they're only being given six episodes to do it in instead of 12"

Good Omens on Amazon, very enjoyable, plus my wife has a credit under the Milk VFX team :-) Seems to be getting good reviews everywhere, and so it should

It seems wrong to say it, but I thoroughly enjoyed Chernobyl. Ep 3 in particular stood out, but not for entertainment value.

Miners, who I thought were a little dark humoured (and why not?), 3 Divers who must have been terrified, but by far, the way the show portrayed the affects of Radiation Sickness on the Firemen and Plant Workers in their final days / hours.

And all of it was true.

Finished off Chernobyl last night.

It feels wrong to say it, in light of the subject, but it was a very good series.

I never knew it came so close to being worse than it already was :-S

Simply very good TV.

I bought the book in 1990 when it came out. I’ve picked it up and tried reading it a couple of times. Never got into it. The adverts for the TV show made it look really good and something I’ve missed out on. Tried searching for the book as it was about 10 years ago I last tried reading it. Can’t find it anywhere - I’m going to have to watch the series to enjoy it now.

Also 2nd series of “Code 37 Sex Crimes” is good - better than the first I think.

Chernobyl was brilliant, very disturbing.

I’ve just caught up with Deutschland 86 - enjoyed that too.

Yes, indeed I thought it was good too. Even the CGI flying sequences were quite believable except maybe the close ups of the aircraft noses ?
I shall certainly stick with it for now.
