The bit with the ATCO was alright, presumably because NATS has briefed her on what to say and provided the script to the production team!

Interesting that although they had access to a live camera feed - probably from the tower judging by the angles, but the authorities didn't let any of the show come from the airport itself, hence the stupid shots of that woman stood at the top of some aircraft steps watching the "PJs" through binoculars.

:wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:

Presumably EMA knew what a train wreck (or should that be a plane crash) it would be and didn't want to seen supporting it.

Totally lived up to the exceedingly low expectations I had for it.

It was just a bit of fun and actually quite entertaining in parts - lighten up everybody and chill!

Blimey - watched it for the last 30 mins , I had to wear a paper bag over my head with eye holes cut out so nobody would associate me with the hobby. This sort of dross gives genuine enthusiasts a bad reputation.

Initially appears disjointed in presentation , Peter Snow great in his day but past his prime on this show , Andy Peters appeared as if he was totally out of his depth , that woman in the blue boiler suit - horrendous - looked like a whacky professor , and the other presenter a former Airline Captain

Arthur Williams was partially knowledgeable - but only at times from what I stomached of the show.

The operator of EMA must be cringing , as must many a true aviation enthusiasts

Does that include the moment when he called the F-22 the "Rapture"?

Luckily I missed that bit - just saw him at Heathrow in the last 30 mins , assume at Myrtle Avenue - he did appear to get his Boeings and his Airbus variants mixed up at the time ...... always find it amazing when someone who has a PPL/CPL or ATPL can't actually distinguish between aircraft types.

How many others felt a little insulted when Andi Peters was admitting he was a planespotter or an AvGeek or something like that? Sorry but people like him give Aviation Enthusiasts (the real title for people like us who enjoy aviation and watch Aircraft!) a really bad reputation.

What a clueless pilot, "it's got 4 engines so a 747 or a380" when looking at an aircraft clearly with 2 trails, Norwegian 737!!!!

Andi Peters 'Yes it is a 737' - well big wow Mr P, a true enthusiast would say 737-800 at the very least, right? Painted those with an aviation interest as total wackos and oddballs!

Wouldn't say I disliked it,thought some parts were interesting but could have been better if they didn't rush things too much.

Quite. And i’m the collection of sick bags.

I watched parts last night where I had a chance to. Seemed to me to be very cringy, awkward, full of shanter, and overall to do quite little than to further deepen some pretty sad stereotypes about this sort hobby.

But what do I know. I’m sat here as a keyboard warrior crying into a safe space old cronky forum where most of the really interesting members left some time ago, so what the bloody hell do my opinions on something like this even matter...

I thought they did a fantastic textbook BBC thing of inclusivity.

"Yes that's right I'm a planespotter"
....about half way through the program has to get told if it was a 727 or 737...
Nice try BBC but I ain't buying this one, fell asleep almost straight after that part I was so bored out of my mind :sleepy:
