Zigermeet Mollis 17.08.2019

Post by Joerg »

Nothing better than a airshow in a tight Swiss valley. Running a competition for the future fighter aircraft also certainly helped to bring up participants. Rafale clearly took top honours giving a truly shocking demonstration of its performance.

This Viggen video is worth a watch....lands near the end, sticks it in reverse then takes off again.

Awesome, first one is a stunner! Also jealous of the chopper shots, did not manage to shoot with such low shutter speeds - hats off to you!

Thanks to all of you for your replies. Mollis is a very nice show and I recommend that you make it there next time around, which is probably in 2021 or 2022. Next time I will try that clearing up on the mountain on the other side.
Guess I was just lucky with the first one capturing those shockwaves in the right moment. As for the panning shots: Rest assured, trying to get these means setting the camera to the highest frame rate possible, trying to fokus one point and keeping it steady but still accepting that 95% are just blurred in one way or another - but it is the 5% good ones that I am after.

Cheers,
Joerg
